Welcome to Acre, the modern, fine dining restaurant located just east of downtown Memphis in a reformed and inviting midcentury home. Acre is located near Theatre Memphis and just down the street from area hotels, museums, shopping and attractions.

Chefs Wally Joe and Andrew Adams have put together a beautiful restaurant perfect for reconnecting with a loved one or entertaining an important client. Think fresh because Acre only uses high quality and locally sourced ingredients putting their Southern spin on classical French techniques. At Acre you’ll find hints of Italy, Asia and the American South in dishes like Grilled Snake Sturgeon (coupled with fingerling potatoes and duck confit), Spiced Shortrib Ragu and Sticky Toffee Date Cake.

Wine connoisseurs will love Acre as well. Dishes at Acre are considered to be wine-friendly, focusing on boutique producers and lesser known single named grape varieties – Albarino from Spain and Douro wines from Portugal, just to throw a few names out there. Wine is available by the glass, carafe or bottle. Bottle prices typically range from $20 to about $200. If you’re unsure of a wine selection, our recommendation is to listen to the staff. Not only is Acre’s service top-notch, but so is their advice.

Have you heard about the resurgence of the cocktail? Acre is leading the charge in Memphis with specialty artisan cocktails focusing on freshness and superior ingredients. Stop by the bar for a pre-show drink or try a very unique Gumbo Martini (Tanqueray, pickled okra brine and a dash of pepper), Apple Jack (Jack Daniel’s bourbon, cider, bitters and apple) or Kumquat Marmalade Margarita. Truffle potato chips with malted bacon are the perfect appetizer sidekick to your cocktail of choice.

The presentation and flavor combinations at Acre are polished with an ecosystem of essence, but done in such a way that doesn’t make it feel oppressive, but rather homey. Internally, the décor of Acre makes good use of textures, colors and comfy furniture. You’ll be dazzled.

Give Acre a try. They’re open for lunch Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. and dinner Monday through Saturday from 5 p.m. – 10 p.m. The bar at Acre opens daily at 4 p.m. Look for the blazing yellow door at Acre’s front entrance located at 690 S. Perkins Rd. in Memphis, TN. Call 901-818-ACRE for reservations today.
