Parking & Free Shuttle Information for Bass Pro Shops at the Pyramid Grand Opening

Bass Pro Shops at The Pyramid officially opens on Wednesday, April 29 at 6 p.m. They are expecting upwards of 20,000 visitors from across the region for the grand opening celebration, spanning until Sunday, May 3.

Because the grand opening corresponds at the same time as the Beale Street Music Festival and potential Memphis Grizzlies NBA playoff games, Bass Pro Shops, MATA and the City of Memphis have coordinated efforts to minimize traffic congestion, provide a positive downtown experience and make visitors aware of parking locations. Given the festivities, availability of Bass Pro Shops’ parking spaces will be limited.

Parking and transportation for Wednesday, April 29 and Thursday, April 30

  • Visitors coming from the expressways are encouraged to take the Danny Thomas exit and follow signs to Pyramid Parking.
  • There will be free parking lots designated along AW Willis, which will be serviced by a free shuttle from 2 p.m. to 1 a.m. to and from Bass Pro Shops.
  • MATA will offer free shuttle service along their Main Street and Riverside loop routes from 2 p.m. to 1 a.m. The Riverside Loop route will include a drop off point at the north side of the Pyramid.
  • Additional free parking lots and pay-to-park lots will also be available within walking distance of the Pyramid.
