Find something for everyone on your holiday gift list with these local boutiques, artisan-made products and unique places to shop and buy holiday gifts.

South Main Arts District

Memphis’ first suburb, first arts district, the site of the world’s first modern grocery store and where Elvis' first record was played on the airwaves. South Main Arts District in downtown Memphis is a must-visit stop on your holiday shopping itinerary. The artisans of Downtown Candle Company craft soy candles with delightful scents, such the jasmine-scented Mojo. Stock & Belle showcases modern fashion plus Memphis-made art (watch for installations by local artists in the space, too). South Main is also a great spot for vintage finds. Browse through antiques at South Front Architectural Antiques or vintage clothing at Red Velvet Boutique. If you're feeling a little mystical, stop by The Broom Closet for a Tarot or Reiki reading and leave with oils and gemstones for your own spell kits.

Bonus: You’ll get extra time to shop and gallery-hop during South Main Trolley Night (final Fridays, monthly), when businesses stay open late, there's music in the street and everyone’s down for a street party.

Broad Avenue Arts District

Just look for the colorful water tower and you'll know you're in the right place. If the colorful murals splashed across buildings and the community of artist studios and workshops didn’t give it away, we’re telling you: this is the place for one-of-a-kind gifts to wow people on your gift list. Pick out handmade jewelry at Bead Couture, handcrafted accessories and art at Falling Into Place or beautiful ceramics from Paper & Clay which has been featured in Apartment Therapy, Design*Sponge, Garden & Gun and New York Magazine. For the crafter on your gift list, stop by Five in One where you'll not only find creative art supply gifts, local products and  Made in Memphis brand products, but can join in on a glass blasting or screen printing workshop and create something original. For home décor, don’t miss the pieces at Bingham & Broad and Nabers Interiors.

Bonus: make dinner reservations at Bounty on Broad for farm-to-table family style fare.
